How to review AI-generated maths worksheets before use

Use a short, repeatable review process so time saved on rewriting does not become a new source of mathematical or classroom errors.

Use this before classroom use: AI can save rewriting time, but the teacher should still verify the mathematics, wording and visuals in every generated worksheet.

1. Mathematical meaning

2. Multipart questions

Questions with parts such as 5(a), 5(b) and 5(c) can depend on shared information. Check that each part still refers to the right diagram, values or result from the earlier part. A fluent sentence can still be mathematically wrong if a dependency has shifted.

If an image is needed to understand the source question, treat it as learning content. Optional generated illustrations should support the question rather than introduce extra quantities, labels or clues that change the task.

5. Student information

Use only the identifier and interests needed for the classroom purpose. Initials, aliases or classroom codes can reduce unnecessary personal information. Avoid entering sensitive information that is not needed for personalisation.

6. Final teacher check

Read the worksheet once as the student will see it, then solve at least the changed questions. For a class set, spot-check that student versions are not accidentally mixed. Keep the source worksheet available when checking any item that looks uncertain.
